Sheffield Soup Kitchen
Sheffield Churches Soup Kitchen have supported and cared for the vulnerable and needy of our city for the past 30 years. We are based on King Street and provide food and support 7 nights per week between 8 and 9pm. Typically, food includes hot drinks, sandwiches, crisps, cakes and biscuits. We also provide dog and cat food to those who need it. We take a small amount of clothing, bedding and footwear just in case we find someone who really needs them.
“I first found myself seeking help for the homeless after suffering a nervous breakdown. It has taken me several years to put my life back together. But for the first time in many years I am very happy and feel that I have banished the darkness that has clouded my life at different periods. The soup kitchen provides an essential lifeline, not in just terms of nourishment. But also as a point of contact and communication for many people who are very isolated socially.” – Jake
